Personally, I like the ones from the drugstore that only go up to 150 or the one @ Planned Parenthood that only goes up to 200 pounds.
All kidding aside, I do not have a scale here in the house. Well, not one that I weigh in on. I got one as a free gift for something or other & it's not awful, it's just that I have no floor to put it on.
I weigh in @ the gym on Tuesdays when me & my swimming buddy go swimming. I try not to, but also end up on the scale when we go Thursdays too, just out of curiosity, but I'm going to try & cut that out. I weigh in wearing my swimsuit, cap & goggles. I put the shower bag (that shampoo has to weigh something!) and the towel to the side.
I know that my doctor's office is really good about things like weighing in & taking your blood pressure & not charging you a fee for it--particularly if they know you (me!!) are morbidly obese with HBP & trying to correct both these things. They told me I could come in any time I wanted to get weighed & my BP checked, to just tell them at the desk that's what I want to do & the nurses can usually squeeze me in.
If your dr's ofc would be willing to do that, it would eliminate a lot of the guesswork for you. I will keep my fingers crossed.
