A little late night encouragement??

  • Hi Everyone:

This week has been H-E-Double Hockey Sticks! Im not following any sort of diet, just making better choices in what I consume but today is a big battle for me. We have had some problems going on which has forced us to eat out. We ate out every meal today. Breakfast was awesome. I chose fruit and cereal but lunch and dinner....not so much. Now it's late at night and I want to pig out!
As we speak im sitting here with a bottle of water and baby carrots. My stomach does not feel hungry but i am wanting to shovel bad food into me.

Any encouragement, bible verses, or tips would be amazing right now.

    Thank u so much!
  • Go to bed! That is what works for me when I start roaming in the kitchen late at night. If you aren't hungry, then just put on your p.j.s and brush your teeth and go to bed. Sleep is very important for health and weight loss so get some sleep. If you can't sleep then read a book or listen to some music until you can.

  • Maybe a hot cup of decaf tea would help? It will give you something to do with your hands (and mouth and is low-cal. I had a week like that last week; things were hectic and many of my food choices were not healthy. I just try to remind myself that this is not a journey of perfection; we are just trying to improve things, not be perfect. Life gives us ups and downs and sometimes we make choices that aren't the healthiest, but we must be kind to ourselves when we make poor choices. You are doing well now with your healthy snack.

Don't beat yourself up. Be patient and just do the best that you can. Don't give in to the urge to binge; I guarantee it will not make you feel better. Instead, nurture yourself with a soothing warm cup of tea.

    Be well.
  • Tea. Peppermint tea. A bath with lots of bubbles and a GOOD book and then into bed with you! You CAN do this!!!
  • Thank you ladies so much. Im going to go lay down and read with my water. I only have green tea and that will keep me up but i am taking my water bottle to bed with me.
