
My name's Rae, and I'm an 18-year-old college freshman. I've been overweight ever since I was a kid, and though I've always wanted to lose the weight, I've never been serious or committed enough to actually do it. But after seeing all the tips and motivation that I can get from 3FC, I think I'm ready to do it!
I'm more ready than ever to lose the weight and become more confident with myself. I've always been "that shy girl" in school, and being overweight and considering myself unattractive has always stopped me from being outgoing. I'm hoping losing weight will allow me to be more confident when it comes to making friends and approaching other people, especially guys *wink*
My weight's at 160 pounds right now. I was at my highest weight of 167 pounds when I was 15, and since then, it's been fluctuating between 162 and 156. Being at a short height of 5'1, I'm hoping to lose at least 40 pounds to bring me down to 120.
I can't wait to get to know you all, especially any fellow college students
I'm looking forward to making some regular chat buddies that I can support and get some support on while I'm on my weight loss journey.

It's so great that you've decided to help yourself! This forum is fantastic, and you'll find as much support as you need! I second Margaret's suggestion about the College Buddies thread in the 20-something forum! I'm also in college (a senior) and I'm also relatively new to this (just finishing up week 3!).
