Thump,head fell on keyboard, sugar!

  • I don't know if this is typical, I can't recall what happened to my body last year.

I'm not restraining what I eat, on the same hand, I know what could cause a binge, so I try and stay away from such foods.

I used to eat a lot of sugar, ie, read, I could eat 7-8 candy bars a day, people that ate differently thought I was odd, can you imagine!;=)))

OK, here's the problem, I am tired, so very tired, I feel spacey, not really hungry, but a sick feeling as my body wants SUGAR........Am I going through withdrawal or simply not getting enough....Now, Usually I Have trouble keeping a thought in my head;_) but this is different.
  • This is likely sugar withdrawal. Have you tried eating something with protein? It'll usually push me through.
  • Ohh I definitely went through sugar withdrawal when I gave it up a month ago. I was eating quite a lot of it on a daily basis (candy, chocolate, heaping spoonfuls on everything..). I felt grumpy and anxious and lethargic for the first week and a half.
  • Yeah, it definitely sounds like sugar withdrawal... I agree with mandalinn that protein helps (I'm a recovering sugar fiend...) but drinking a lot of water also helps me a lot!
  • Thanks guys;-)

I def will try protein next time, maybe low fat milk, no, skim milk;-)

You know, before I started dieting, I drank a glass of whole milk (yeah, yeah, I hear ya;-D) I don't even like milk to begin with, but I noticed I wasn't hungry the rest of the day.......
