Hello

  • i am new here. I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello.

My name is kelly and i have 28 grueling days until the big two one.

I have always been over weight, and have been yelled at forever by mother because of it. Not that she has much room to talk every in my family is over weight. However i have taken my weight like most things in my life to the extreme, i weigh 285lbs. I have gained about 125lbs in 4 years. My junior year in high school i weighed i 160, and that is my goal weight. I know i would still be considered over weight, but it would be a huge improvement.

I plan to loose weight by reducing calories and exercising, both of which seem impossible. I know it's a lame excuse, but i really have no time. I am a full time college student currently taking 13 hours, and i work anywhere from 40 - 50 hours a week. So my day consists of a butt load of driving, school, work, and homework, and at the end of the day i pass out and am lucky if i get 6 hours of sleep. I do have some down/relaxation time which i am going to try and reduce to implement exercise. Due to my schedule i have very little time to cook, and eat out and get fast food frequently.

Wish me luck, and any time managment/saving tips would be appreciated!
  • I understand that you are busy. I remember being in college. what a stressful time! I do wish you luck. I know it seems impossible, but it's totally not! It is possible. I work full time, have 3 young children, a hubby and all the stresses that go along with it, but I had to realize that my life was going to be shortened significantly due to my weight. Also, the time on earth that I did have left was way less than satisfactory. I was unhealthy, miserable, and killing myself slowly. Your health is the most important thing!! Seriously... make time to be healthy, you'll thank yourself for it. good luck
  • . . . and good luck on your journey . . .
  • Welcome to 3FC! Surf around and settle in! We have subforums based on age, eating plan, exercise and more!

Check out the 20 something forum! I hear you on being busy. Somedays I leave my house and don't come back for 26 or more hours. So I plan. Boiled eggs, cut up veggies, packed lunches (and dinners and snacks!). Somedays when I leave, I take enough food for 3 meals and 3 snacks. It takes planning but it is worth it. Good luck!
