Quick question regarding weight

  • I just really started going pretty hardcore into working out again (going strong 5+ times a week for the past 2 1/2-3 weeks or so) and have managed to jump 2 pounds on the scale since last Monday. Granted, I DID have a "cheat weekend" with the boyfriend. (I'm talking 2 cheeseburgers, 1 1/2 beignets, Cold Stone ice cream, shrimp alfredo pasta...in 2 days. lol)

Do you think I gained it from the cheating? Or do you think it could be my muscles building up?

I know which answer I'd like it to be...lol
  • honestly, its probably water weight from the sodium in that cheat food. Most of it is anyway. Some of it ( a very small portion could be actual fat) but I wouldn't count on it being muscle. just because it takes longer to build muscle. but, i would just assume its water weight after the cheat weekend. thats just my opinion though. who knows, LOL
  • I'd say water retention.

Muscle builds overtime and you wouldn't just jump up 2 lbs from it. lol
  • I would agree with the others and say the cheat food did you in. You will have to drink plenty of water and stay OP to get rid of it.
  • Also when you are working your muscles out, THEY retain water too.
