When your body gets used to lower cals

  • So after 10 weeks my body has gotten used to eating around 1400 calories and thriving without all that sugar and a lot more exercise. I got past a 32 day plateau. What I wonder is now that my body seems to think that this new routine is normal does that mean I will just stay the same weight wise?

It seems like at about 10 weeks I get stuck and can't go any farther down. This is a very weak time ( as far as keeping the commitment)for me as my body stabilizes. That last 10 years I keep repeating this same cycle and give up at this point. Needless to say I don't want that to happen again.
  • hi
your body won't plateau forever. do more cardio. I do 45 minutes 4-5 days a week and eat 1400 calories per day. it is really hard but it is worth it if you can stick with it. also this may sound really gross but how is your digestive system? I started using psyllium husks and they clean out your system if you use it 3 times a day. This is gross but I lost 7 pounds of "stuff." I also ate more greens that helped a lot as well. kale, spinich, lettuce, broccoli, ect.
  • Definitely do more cardio... but do different kinds of cardio (and for at least 5-6 days a week at least until you get over the plateau)!

Like for instance, if you were running beforehand-- do circuit training, stair master, jumping on a mini-trampoline, spinning classes, kickboxing, etc.

Also, incorporate weight lifting into your routine.

And calorie cycle on occasion. All those things will definitely bust your plateau!

    Hang in there!
