Belly Fat Cure By Jorge Cruise

  • IS anyone doing this? I get the concept but how are you suppose to do only 15 grams of sugar per day.
An 8 ounce glass of skim milk has 12 grams.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated

    Thanks
    Michelle
  • Did he say 15 grams of 'added sugar' on top of what is naturally in some foods, like fruit? I would suspect that he didn't mean sugars that are naturally in skim milk, or you wouldn't be able to eat any dairy or fruits at all; and that would include tomatoes too. That would limit you to only foods that have no or very little natural sugars in them, meaning no carbs either.

So ... that would be a very restrictive plan of meat & some low carb veggies, mostly. That would be very difficult to stick to for very long, and isn't balanced or healthy, IMHO ...
  • Looking around I saw that he recommends drinking almond milk instead of regular milk... Actually fruit is included in the diet- like blackberries are low in sugar, and so on I don't even know where you'd get almond milk lol.

I went to his site and got that free copy of his book digitally sent to my email- interesting read.
  • I've only read a fairly detailed review of Jorge's book, and fruit is allowed on the plan, which is based on his book -- The 3 hour diet. He does limit fat allowing 1 capful or about 1 tbl of olive oil per day, so he may mean limit your 'sugar' intake each day to 15 grams, BUT he does allow some low-sugar candy on this plan for one of the snacks etc.

Almond milk which is low in sugar, can be found at health food stores ...

PS ~ I stand corrected, I read an outline for the BELLY FAT plan and the basic is that you eat 15 grams of sugar & 6 whole grain/fiber carbs a day (@ 5-20 grams each). I assume he means a combination of whole grain and vegetable carbs here, stating that fiber is very important. I wouldn't be able to follow that myself as all the specialty products he calls for aren't available here; and it still sounds like a very strict plan to me.
  • I just saw this plan yesterday. It seems way too strick to me also.
It's probably a healthy way to eat, if you can stick to it

One of the things that struck me is that he said a banana has 22 grams of sugar, so they are off the plan. Blackberries were only 5g (I think), so they were ok.

He has several videos on his website and in one he was going on about how diets don't work--but he's come out with this "diet"--funny
  • Jorge Cruise belly fat cure diet
I'm doing it - I am on day 5. I have lost 2.5 lbs and seriously, my tummy feels flatter. I'm not even kidding. This diet is EXTREMELY hard to stick with for me, even though I have done Low-Carb before (last year I lost 15 pounds and have kept it off). The lack of fruit, yogurt, cereal, sweets, and bread are killing me. Especially the sweets. He allows you 1 OK of super dark chocolate that is so bitter it isn't even worth eating? WHAT??? Well anyway, right now I am trying to get to a "healthy" weight (which according to the web is 140)

Maybe I need some encouragement? Hope to hear from you all!
