Hello!

  • This is my first post and I know it won't be my last LOL!

I'm a single mother of two boys (17 & 6) and have been struggling my whole life with weight issues!!! Up and down! Up and down!!!! You all know the story!

At my highest in 2005-2006 I weighed in at 290lbs (BMI 47). After much research and soul searching I decided that I was going to speak to my PCP about gastric bypass surgery. November 2007 I was approved for weight loss surgery (BMI 43), specifically the Duodenal Switch (aka DS). I traveled to the US (Michigan) and had my surgery on February 22, 2008.

Fast forward 1 year to today>> I'm below my original goal of 140 and now sitting nicely at 125 after plastics (had anchor tummy tuck with muscle repair and breast lift on January 23, 2009).

I look forward to getting to know everyone and sharing.
