I've been on Yaz for over two years now, and have had some successes with it. (More so than other BC to help regulate AF) But, when I was tested for PCOS, they ran a battery of bloodwork, and said that my testosterone level was 19-20, which is EXTREMELY higher than it should be. I thought that they would have at least suggested another medication to help lower it or something, or even seeing an Endochronologist to discuss options. I'm still not having anywhere near normal cycles, they range from 35 days up to even 49 days. None of this seems like anything out of the ordinary to my doc though, but it concerns me that he doesn't seem to be concerned.
I don't know if I'm sounding paranoid or not, I know that having PCOS means that my levels are going to be out of whack, but shouldn't there be some other type of regulation other than just Metformin and Yaz that could be thrown in the mix?
I have insurance and can easily go and see an Endo, but I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't sounding crazy.
And again, thank you ladies for your help
