Hello!!
I'm new here and I was encouraged by all of you over here in the 100 club. Can I join you? I have 110lbs to loose and I'm a bit overwhelmed.
I started 3 days ago Micheal Thurmonds Body Makeover and I don't think I can do it anymore. Those of you not familiar with the program it goes a little like this. You have to determine first what your body type is and then you have to follow a very strict diet of no sodium or salt, no sugar, no wheat, and no fat and 100 oz of water. You eat 6 times a day, but only certain foods at certain times. For example my breakfast is egg whites and oatmeal (GROSS!). Now...for the last three days I've been tired, cranky and depressed and I'm not liking this feeling any longer. I even cancelled going away this weekend because I knew I couldn't eat and drink like everyone else. I know everyone will tell me it's just getting used to having no sugar and salt but people..THERE HAS GOT TO BE A BETTER WAY!! Please tell me there is. I have tried WW before and I failed that as well. Is anyone just doing this on their own? Has anyone come up with a "plan" that has worked for them with out having to be on a certain diet? I was thinking if I go lowfat, low sugar and exercise, exercise I can probably do this..after doing this body makeover.....that is a walk in the park.
What are your thoughts? I am 34 and 295, I have PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome) and the Dr. has told me it's not my fault that I am as heavy as I am (ok...I wanted to kiss him), and that I have to work 4x as harder to loose weight. Thanks for the comforting words doc.
I look forward to getting to know you and to sticking with this forum. I really need a good kick in the butt, maybe you all can oblige!
Thanks for listening!!

She is now within 6# of her high school cheerleading days. She combined knowledge from the WW program, got herself to the gym, implemented a "menu" that she follows quite well at home... she's an inspiration to me!!!
