How many calories was my dinner?

  • My family and I went to O'Charley's tonight for dinner. I had a Cesar Salad with Grilled Chicken. I had them put the dressing on the side and used about a table spoon of dressing. I looked at the Nutrition info when I got home and it says the salad is 490 calories. Now would it be safe to assume that is minus the dressing or with it?? The info says 1 serving, how do I know what they consider a serving? Is it safe to assume it be the whole bowl and why cant they just say whether its with or without dressing? I looked for the dressing calorie count separate but that's the only NOT listed.
  • Dotties lists it as:
    Quote:
    Chicken Caesar Salad (1 salad) (620 cal/40 g fat/4 g fiber/11 g carbs)
Given the fat grams, I'd guess that is with dressing. The dressing nutritionals are as follows:
    Quote:
    Caesar Dressing (2 tbsp) (180 cal/18 g fat/0 g fiber/0 g carbs)
  • Thank you mandalinn
  • I think I read in a restaurant trade magazine that O'Charley's doesn't count salad or accessories like croutons, tortilla strips, almonds in their nutrition count for salads. That could be the difference between their numbers and Dottie's no dressing numbers if the Ceasar had croutons.
