Eating all your points?

  • Ok..so I have 34 points to eat daily and I have 5 left over and the only reason its that low is because I JUST forced myself to eat a bagel with double the cream cheese. I am absolutely STUFFED and I can not possibly eat any more tonight. (Feels odd saying that because I got fat by being a greedy girl, lol). I just want to know if you eat all your points every day
  • Why not save them for another day? There is something to be said for intuitive eating.
  • You can't "save" or roll-over your daily points to use another day. What's probably happening to you right now is you are doing the right thing - focusing on bulky, low-point food like low-fat dairy, fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. This is good! This is what you'll need to know how to do to truly make the switch to a healthy lifestyle. However, it is important to get as close as you can to your daily target every day. If you can eat more and still lose, wouldn't it make sense that you'd want to eat more? Food is good!

Probably the best thing to do while you are still at a high points level is ditch the low-fat products. Low-fat dairy, reduced-calorie bread, any kind of "diet" food - toss it and stick with the higher-cal stuff. That way you don't have to eat MORE to use more points. Also, nuts and nut butters are a great way of getting in points without a lot of bulk. If you have 6 points at the end of the day left, have a couple spoonfuls of peanut butter It may sound silly but it's effective.

Eventually you'll find you get used to your points level and you won't have this problem anymore. At the beginning we all get stuck in the diet mentality of not wanting to eat too much. But trust WW, trust the number of points you're given, and try to eat them
