Question from a newbie

  • Hey everyone! I'm new here and I have a question because I'm getting frustrated. I have about 20 pounds to lose and I'm pretty educated when it comes to diet and nutrition. I've been on my diet for a week now - eating between 1200-1300 calories a day but not working out. I'm a fit person and have always been athletic but I think the lack of calories is sucking my energy.

    Anyways, I'm frustrated because I figured that after a week I would notice some sort of change and I haven't. I've lost nothing and I don't feel any different. Can anyone give me any insight about how long it should be before I notice anything? Or tips or suggestions to help it along?

  • When I starting running, the weight came off. Dieting, alone, didn't do much for me either.
