I would also looooove to be able to wear those pretty, flowy cotton summer dresses, but I suspect I will have to be quite close to my ultimate goal to be really confident in how I look in them. Plus, I must admit they don't really suit my lifestyle, which involves being dirty rather a lot (I'm a mechanic).
That being said, one of my non-scale goals is to be able to fit into my work uniform-shirts again so I can stop wearing the same four sweatshirts every day. I can get them buttoned, but they ride up a little at my widest part (lower abdomen) and I don't like the effect. I'm hoping to be at the point where I'm satisfied with the way those shirts hang by the time the weather is consistently warm enough for short-sleeved shirts. I'm focusing on lots of crunches to hopefully reduce the belly in time.
Thank you for starting this thread, Kelly315! I like talking about where I want to be. It motivates me.
I love it, the dress is beautiful. I haven't picked out an outfit yet but it will almost certainly be pants with a slim fitting top - I can't wait until I don't have to wear loose shirts to hide my stomach anymore.
I last wore shorts in 2000. And they were boring cargo shorts for my sailing class.
Here's an example of what I want:
I'd love them with funky, bright colored tights or boots or a variety of tops. I have had a small upper body before but my lower body has always been a mess. I'll have won the war if I can handle some short shorts.
I love all your goal outfits! As for me I would like to wear one of those skinny little Audrey Hepburn style sleeveless black dresses....that is just my fave look & I haven't been able to pull off sleeveless in YEARS.
I bought a new goal dress just last week. It is a halter style (sort of Marilyn Monroe style) with a flowy bottom. It will zip and all but will look so much better -10 pounds. Another goal of mine is nice fitting low-rise jeans, pumps and a strappy camisole.
freshmanweightorbust- Thank you very much, I'm glad that somebody thinks so...my mom hates it...lol I realy like it in the green too...good luck with your work shirts as well!!
i want to wear real shorts...even last year I avoided shorts because i was paranoid of the few veins on my thighs..one being a small varicose vein...and Also on the inside of my knees it looked a bit funny..like a bit of fat there.. I KNOW i was probably being paranoid but if I wasn't comfortable I just couldn't wear them...by damn I will wear them this summer..worked too hard for it! ooh and a short skirt too lol.
Kelly I absolutely love that dress..so romantic looking!
Sharpie..I don't think its slutty..it's hot! I think if i wore it I'd feel the need to pull it down just a tad..however that is me and my paranoia..but you know what? I think that if you work hard to get into this then go ahead and flaunt it...we deserve to feel the best in whatever we choose to wear!
