My boss called me in his office today and laid me off effective today.

I asked him if I could use the computer and update my resume. So I did that printed out some resumes.

I couldn't break down while I was there and I'm afraid if I break down now I won't stop. I feel pretty upset I just wanted to share.

Oh my dear I am so sorry. I had that happen just under a year ago. I am so sorry at least you were able to update stuff on your resume I wasn't given that luxury. I hope you find something soon!

OMG! hon I'm so sorry. Let me know if you need me. I've been there... and I can say that it's ok to break down for a day. Take the weekend and chill, and start new on Monday. :hugz:

I've been there too, and it does suck! I got laid off 2 years in a row on Christmas Eve! Just remember, when God closes one door, he opens another. Good luck!

Oh my gosh, girl. As you know, I also lost my job this week I'm taking it pretty rough... I haven't stopped crying all night actually, I don't know why, it happend Tuesday, and it's just hitting me now. I know what your going through, as I am myself going through the exact same thing right now.

Nish- they don't give unemployment info, but I went online to get the info. I'm going to apply first thing Monday. This just sucks! A part of me wants to move back to Arkansas.

I was living vicariously through you to experience the cuteness and romance, now I feel like I had to break up with him in a way. What will happen with that?

Nish- funny you should ask! So I go out in the shop and say bye to everyone. My boss told me that he told HLM dude right before he called me in. So I looked at him and said I know you know. He was like I wanted to tell you but they called in the office. I'm so sorry are you ok? I was like yeah. I told him not to forget me. He said he couldn't.

So he calls me on his way home. We talk for about 30 min. He wants to take me out for drinks sometime. He said that he likes me but he didn't want to cross boundaries at work. He also said that he respects me and likes me but his life is complicated. (we always talked about bad timing. He's getting divorced and has a 18 month old.) So I have no expectations, but I think we'll do something later. He said he'll call me tomorrow. It felt really nice to have be concerned. Now i must find someone to drink with tonight!

heather i am so sorry to hear that. we are here if you need anything. i went to a seminar a couple of weeks ago and they said that you need to have a grieving period (take the weekend), then take a deep breath and analyze the situation. You did great by updating your resume first.
