  • my first time!
ok i guess i'll kick things off here. i did a trial run of the 5K last night (my first ever). I was considering squeezing the real thing in today following an emergency cupcake buy, but I did something funny to my leg, so my trial time stands. And actually, I'm quite pleased, if I may say so myself.

  • Exactly 50 minutes!

    I learned a lot today:

I can run better with a 0% incline
    I need better shoes
Feeling like your boobs are going to snap off isn't fun. Better support for a better run!
Pee before you run because peeing in your pants probably isn't very sexy
I can run in front of people. They don't care!!!
I don't fit into my pants anymore. If I want to wear them I'll need suspenders.

    It was a good run!
  • Great job ladies...

Rain here all night but clearing now so Angie wants to wait until she gets home from bell choir practice at church before we head out.
  • #1 Got it done on the treadmill today -- too cold outside--- but I didn't get it all done at once because some people stopped to look at the house so I'm not even sure of what my time was...

    HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!
  • Great job everyone!!

I hadn't run in over a week cause I was sick, and I lose running confidence quickly. I was worried I wouldn't be able to go 5K. I put on my shoes and decided I would run 2 miles no matter what. Felt great! Went a little over 3 miles in 32 minutes. A gorgeous day, I felt strong, and it was fun. So good to get back out there!
  • I completed mine this afternoon, outside even It was so nice to get out to exercise again! I'm back to walking because apparently the doctors were right about not running. Oops
  • Awesome job by everyone!

53:29 here. I'm quite impressed with myself because I'm still very sore from the workout my trainer put me through 2 days ago - I wasn't sure I'd be able to walk 5k at the start!
  • #27 reporting in.
Walked mine indoors, can't wait for spring to come!!!
  • OK so the purpose of these 5K's is to get out and get moving right?

We are all different people and at different places in our lives.

We run ~ we walk ~ we jog ~ we stroll ~ we wheel

    We struggle

    We set goals

    We accomplish some

    We fail at others

    We keep moving forward

Today Angie and I intended to take the dogs on a brisk 5K....we waited for the rain to clear. About .25 into our walk Angie's hip joint popped out. She has been having issues with it for a couple of months. We took it easy....hip popped back into place about the 2.5 mark and all is well.

It was a very nice cool day with the sun shining in the sky and we could see snow on the local mountains. Gorgeous. Heavy rain coming tomorrow.

Our time ~ A great time together and with our dogs! (61 minutes)
