Quick question... Miso Soup?

  • I'm going to a japanese restaurant for valentine's day, and don't know if Miso Soup is acceptable for phase 2 (not sure what miso paste is derived from)... does anyone have any ideas? I can't seem to find this one on any list.

    Thanks!
  • Miso soup is AWESOME! When I was doing fat smash with my sister we ate that stuff all the time.

It's low carb and low cal, IMO very good for any diet.
  • It's fermented soy beans. It's my favorite Japanese food. Low cal but high in salt content. You can use miso to make salad dressings and gravies and marinades.
  • Traditional miso also uses "dashi" for stock, which is a seafood based stock. Miso is high in salt, but still good for you.
