    Does anyone have a recipe?

sear for 10 seconds on each side

    slice thin

serve with wasabi and soy sauce pickled ginger to garnish
  • Ghost sounds good. Do you know how they get the sauce I could use? It's like a bbq sauce it's more orange than anything.
  • I've never seen seared tuna with a BBQ-type sauce, but maybe if you described the sauce we could help you figure it out... is it sweet? spicy? thick or thin? creamy? Any recognizable flavors (tomato, vinegar, mustard)?

Another option would be to go to the nearest Asian grocery store, or even the Asian aisle at a good supermarket... every time I'm there, I'm surrounded by bottles of sauces, with no idea what's in them or what they could be used for, lol! You could see if something looks like the sauce they use.
  • May- It's orange and creamy. It's kinda sweet but has a kick to it. I think I'm going to do that. I will go to the Asian store and see what I can find. Its at every sushi place I've been to.
  • I loooove experimenting with sauces at the Asian markets. If it's a staple in sushi restaurants, the markets are bound to have it.
  • One of my friends gave me this recipe. I tried it last night. It was so good!!

Sprinkle with bay seasoning, Sear tuna in a very hot pan with a bit of sesame oil and olive oil, literally 2 minute on each side.

mix together, 1/4 cup japanese mayonaise (or regular if that's all you have), 2 tablespoon barbecue sauce and 1 tablespoon Siaracha sauce (asian chili sauce) or more to taste. Mix well.

I used low fat mayo. I also sauted bok choy, mushrooms, and onions and served on the side. This is one of my new favorites!
  • Is it dangerous to eat frozen tuna cooked rare?
