Has Anyone Finished All Phases and Started Over?

  • I'm curious, as I have a lot of weight to lose. I started this week at 285, and want to get to 170. Obviously I'm not going to get there in 90 days, and when I look at the last phase, it looks like a great maintenance plan....but I cannot see how I'd continue to lose a lot of weight on that phase.

    After finishing Phase III, do I go back to Phase I, or stay on Phase III until I get nearer my goal, and then go to IV?

  • Hi R! I am doing Extreme Fat Smash and trying to lose 40lbs. The book says to start again at Cycle 1 and keep going 1,2,3 until you reach your goal then go to maintenance. I would imagine the same to be true for FS. Good luck!!
  • If you are doing the regular fat smash plan you go thru all the phases and the last phase is the one you stick with. Its important to follow each phase so you get the benefits. The plan is also designed so that by the time you finish the last phase you will have taught your body to establish good sound healthy eating habits and incorporated exercise into your daily regime.

    The book is so short its easy to go back again and again to reread the phase you're on to refresh yourself.

    You can also incorporate a day of phase I every week if you like. Or-- you can redo phase I again anytime you like. But you don't have to start over and go back to phase I unless you want to. HTH
  • What he actually says is during Phase 3 or 4 he recommends doing one day out of seven on Phase 1, to kick-start metabolism, or go back to Phase 1 if you feel like you plateau. It's all about how you feel.
