SugarBuster SUCCESS

  • I am 27, 5ft 7 and on May 18 of this year I weighed 178 lbs. I used to live in New Orleans, so I was familiar with the SB woe. Since that day I have lost 43 lbs, and couldn't be happier. I am healthy, have lots of energy, and I am thrilled that I found the plan that was right for me.
  • WOO-HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Dr. suggested a Low Carb diet for me just last week. I am siked!

    Congrats!

  • I'm happy for you. Low Carbohydrates diet sounds good to me. I really have to stop eating so much bread and cheese.

What do you normal eat? Anneliz, give us your success secret.

  • ANNELIZ, haven't seen you for WIW on the SB board lately!!! Glad you are posting your success on SB

SANNA LEE, SB is NOT a low-carb diet. People think it's like Atkins, it's far from it. On SB we can eat fruits and pasta and whole grains, unlike Atkins, which is not only too restricting, but terribly unhealthy in my opinion.

BUDETTE, SB lets you eat fruits, but some that are high on the glycemic index are not allowed because of the way your body respond to the high sugar content in them. Some are bananas, pineapple, raisins, watermelon, and a few others. We can eat bread, but it has to be whole grain or stone ground WW bread, rice is fine, just has to be brown rice, pasta has to be whole wheat. Most veggies are fine, but again, some have a high GI rating, such as potatoes (sweet are okay), corn, carrots , winter squash, and again, a few others. SUGAR is a BIG NO NO - in any form - refined sugars are everywhere - label reading will scare you!

Definitely, there is a lot more you can eat, than you cannot. Once your body is rid of the sugar, you won't crave any sweets anymore - it truly is amazing!
