Did you do the Bump or the Hustle?

  • I have been listening to some golden oldies on youtube from the disco era. My friends and used to do the bump till we were bruised (that was way before I had so much padding).

    How many 3fc's remember disco?
  • HA! Disco isn't the oldies!!

    That was the 70's....

    The 50's are the oldies.....wink
  • I am gathering the term oldies is determined by age. I nearly had a cow when I hear 80' & 90 are retro! That means that some day they will become the oldies. I always considered 50-60 oldies. Does that mean 50 &60 become classic? But how does that work when 70 rock is called classic. Oh my this is gonna drive me crazy re-classifying things in my head. Just gonna stop. Along as I like my music loud I will be ok!
  • The best thing about disco was that it got us hippies cleaned up and dressed up again

  • I remember those days, I went to a few disco clubs and tried it but went back to my good ol' rock bars
  • i still hear disco a lot. i did both dances back then. but even though i grew up in the 70's, i prefer the music of the 80's.
  • Hate to say it,but, yep, I was able to do both the bump and the hustle in high school By 1979, I was so tired of disco, I changed to country and never went back
  • I've done the bump at a wedding, does that count? My uncle loves doing the bump at all weddings, that is his signature dance

The only reason I know what the hustle is, is thanks to TV
  • bump? hustle? .......and, the bus stop!
