losing weight too fast or just paranoid?

  • Hello everyone,
I'm kinda new here, I officially started my weight loss journey on the first of Feburary this year and I'm already down 2lbs and its only been 4 days usually it takes me a lil more than a week to drop 2lbs. I can't remember but is this normal to start off this fast? Im just eating "good" carbs, staying away from sugar as much as possible, eating 3-5 meals a day, and working out at the gym...Oh and i stopped eating 3-4 hours before i go to bed.. which is usually 10 or 11

yesterday I had a grande soy latte and a breakfast cookie for breakfast, but i couldn't finish either one.. ate about half the cookie and 3/4s of the latte, then for lunch i had chilli and half a chicken wrap, and for dinnerish i had a slimfast and 2 pieces of cheddar cheese.. am I not eating enough?
  • It's not uncommon to lose at a faster rate when you first start out People tend to drop water weight at first, too.

Enjoy it and keep up the good work!
  • I agree with the water weight comment....

I would say that you aren't eating enough -- but listen to your body and make sure you never go below 1,200 calories a day. You don't want your body to go into starvation mode.
  • I lost 2 pounds in the past month, and l lost them over 2 consecutive days.

You do lose faster at first, and that's probably part of it. But also, you just don't lose evenly. Not only may you lose 2 pounds in 2 days, but that may be followed by gaining a pound for 2 days. The thing is that water weight can go up and down on a daily basis. It's not your fat that's going up and down so fast, but water. But over time, you can see the trend of real fat loss
  • ahh i see thanks for the help
  • I lost 8lb on my first 2 weeks. On the third week, I lost 0. I am currently on 4th week, lost 1lb so far. The slower pace is better and healthier.
