I don't know why this didn't occur to me, but I am still breastfeeding my 1 yr old on demand around 12 times a day. I have no idea how much she is taking as she can be latched on for just a few minutes or a good 45 minutes. She still nurses a few times in the middle of the night, too(we cosleep). She is eating table foods too so she is not exclusively breastfed. I am wondering if my 1800 calorie intake plan is ok? I am also doing an hour to 2 hours of cardio and strength training at least 6 days a week. If it wasn't enough calories, would I just lose weight more rapidly or will my body hang on to it thinking it's starving? I don't think I am losing too fast, I have only lost 17 pounds in about a month.
I never thought to add breastfeeding into the dieting equation.
