Do you flavor your water?

  • Have you tried flavoring your water with fruits or herbs? Iam planning on picking up some ginger root this weekend to put in my water, was also thinking about trying some freeze dried fruits.

If you do this or have tried it let me know how it works.
  • I squeeze fresh lemon into my water a lot, and I really like it. I never thought of putting ginger, I might like that.

Cucumber is supposed to be good. I think this spring/summer I will try that, with mint.
  • I try not to get my tastebuds used to needing flavors all the time, so I usually drink my water natural. However, on occasion I use lemons, limes, cucumbers or a drop of fruit juice. Just make sure that if you use more than a teaspoon, you incorporate the calories (if any) into your caloric intake for the day.

The ginger is an interesting idea - I think I will try that, thanks!
  • I've used rosemary, cucumber, lavender, mint and fresh squeezed lemon, lime or orange juice. Not all together, though some of the blends are pretty darn good.

I actually heated the water and let the rosemary steep in it, then chilled it in a pitcher in the fridge. Yummy.
  • I can't stand the taste of plain water so I like to squeeze 1/2 a lemon for 2L of water. I've heard good things about cucumber as well, when the summer rolls around I'll have to try it
  • Canteloupe or honeydew is really good in water too!! I had it at a spa I went to once and it was great!
  • I like lemon, lime, cucumber, cucumber-mint, mint-lemon tough I don't make it very often anymore I usually just drink it plain or with a squeeze of lemon.
