I am starting Phase 1 tomorrow. I have read the book, done the shopping and have the exercise habits. I really need to dedicate myself to the eating plan.
I found that I am a sugarholic! I can't just stop with one serving. I binge horribly. I am then bloated and my skin feels dreadful. I did the Suzanne Sommers a few years ago and had great success. What made me decide to do the South Beach was that a young girl I was talking too at a store was starting and her doctor recommended it. I know the Doctor by reputation and trust her judgement. So here I go!
I hope there are some Phase 1 people out there ready to go. I am 5'2 and currently weigh 145lbs. My goal is 20lbs.

Thankfully, SBD has done a lot for me in terms of helping me avoid cravings and stick to one serving. Hope it helps you too!

britmum! I'm a carbaholic as well...you can do it and I find that being on the beach
is the best and healthiest place to be! Good Luck!
