hello!

  • Hi to all, just wanted to introduce myself. I've been researching and longing for Medifast since mid-December, and finally found room on the budget to order it last Thursday morning. I was so delighted and excited to get the big box Wednesday afternoon! Less than a week, all the way from Maryland to Alberta! Wow! So I am now on day 2 and struggling, but I know it will get better. I did the Paleolithic diet as a lifestyle change a few years ago, and it was *great* until the protein and fresh cost got too much for my wee family to cover. It really bites that the good-for-you foods cost so much more than junk. There is only so far that home-baked whole grain bread can take you, lol. Anyway, I digress. I am a stay at home, homeschooling, alternative mother of 6 darling, trying, beautiful children. I've got about 111 pounds to lose to my healthy weight. I was on Slim-fast for the last 4 weeks and lost 10 pounds on that, but couldn't handle the mood swings, which I believe was from the high amount of sugar, which I'm not used to. I am really excited about this group, and to finally be on Medifast. Can't wait to shoot baskets with my 13 year old DD this summer! Sorry for the novel. Newbie nerves, and all. Anyway, Hi!
  • Welcome, Voluptuous. Good Luck on your journey.

  • Welcome V! - I think you'll find that after the 3rd day, it gets easier & you'll be happily surprised at how quickly you lose weight! Good luck & keep posting!

  • Welcome. After about 3 days you will be feeling great. You will get some energy and not be hungry.
  • Wow, Gettingtogoal, I looked at your stats, have you ever come a long way! Tx for the encouragement.
  • Yes, after 3 days you will feel a whole lot better. I'm a guy on this program and when I heard I was going to be eating 800-1,000 calories, I thought, "No way!" But the Medifast food is so well balanced, hunger really hasn't been a problem. I"m just finding out how much entertainment value I placed in food in the past!
