Help!!!!!!!!!

  • I have find this web site over the weekend and I have found a lot of motivation here, and I wanted to thank everyone here.

BUT, I keep wanting, and craving, the 'bad' foods. I was down 17 pounds and now I am up 3 pounds. I will go weigh in tomorrow at lunch, so I will be having a meal replacement bar. I have joined the Metabolic Research Center again, cause they helped me lose 50 pounds almost 10 years ago, and keep it off for a few years. But that is another story.

I have been good, but it is starting to brake my spirit w/ sweets and salty snacks. I have started walking, and I drink 100 or more ounces of water a day. My clothes are fitting looser, but the scale is not moving. I know that we shouldn't get stuck on what the scale says, but that is hard not too.

I am always looking for motivation and inspiration. Thank goodness I read all the comments on Facebook, cause that is how I found this site!!!!!!!

  • Welcome Junebaby. This is really a great site. For any support, weightloss or other. Weightloss is hard, just as anything is. Cutting back those sweets and salty snacks sure is hard but if you do it, you will feel better. Just think everytime you go to put something "bad" in your mouth, how you will feel afterwards. Is it really worth it? 9 times out of 10, it's not.

    You can do it!!!!

The C25K (Couch to 5K) program really kicked me into gear. Lots of threads about it if you are interested.

It is hard to ignore the scale when we focus on the weigh-ins. But here's the good news - your clothes are getting looser. Sometimes you have to go with that as your measure & your motivation, and then the scale will follow (if you don't give in to the sweet & salties too often).

I responded on the Take 31 thread that it was harder for me the 2nd time around as well. But I've made it to stabilization in spite of myself, & you will too! (I've heard that guggul is good for the carb cravings, but I've never tried it...)
