  • Well it is the start of Phase 2 today and the final weigh in is........3.2kgs lost (7 lbs) - wow! I cannot believe it!

It definitely motivates me to keep on going, I didn't exercise in Phase 1 so that is something I am now going to start doing. Not 100% sure which carb I will be adding back in today either, leaning towards brown rice...... Still not wanting to give up Phase 1; heading towards Phase 1.5 and will probably stay there for a while!
  • Great loss! Congratulations! I'm in ph1.5 since Sunday. I've added an apple some days and a grain one day. Yesterday, I had a WW wrap on a sandwich and was up a pound this morning. Don't know if that was a coincidence? Probably need to stay off the scale every day.
  • today is first day off phase 1 for me as well and not sure where to start...i need to go buy some fruit i think. lol. btw i lost 12 lbs. the first two weeks
  • Congrats!! Welcome to Phase 1.5 (i'm there too!)
  • Phase 1.5?!?! What does that mean?
  • It means a gradual introduction of fruit or grains, usually one thing for a week, then one more. The gradual re-introduction of these foods allows you to see if the bring on cravings or problems.
  • Phase II, Week 1 has been a bit a of a roller coaster ride for me. I find if I eat toast(wholemeal of course) or even anything remotely similar - I want more and get hungry quicker. Doesnt seem to matter when I eat it during the day. I make sure I have protein with it too! Is anyone else struggling with the re-introduction of carbs?
  • tomorrow is day 1 of P 1.5 for me
  • Honey - it will take some experimentation to find which carbs work best for you. Toast is a downfall for me as well -- I'm not sure why but whenever I have a piece of ww toast, it always triggers cravings and I want more. I've learned to avoid toast whenever possible and instead eat more filling grains (brown rice, bulgur wheat, quinoa, etc.).

I know that it isn't fun having to experiment to find which combination works best for you but our bodies are not an exact science -- what works for one of us will be terrible for another.

Good luck on your adventure! You've done very well so far.

Also, Chelby -- stay off that scale, girl! Those daily fluctuations are almost never indicative of doing something wrong and are more likely just a fluke in our bodies....sometimes it sucks being human...and a woman!
  • Congratulations! I lost about 7lb so far. I have 2 more days until PH2, but I already did my grocery shopping for PH2. I am planning to add 1/2 cup of bluberries with my typical breakfast and 1 cup of brown rice for dinner. My caloric intake is way too low ~700-900. I am hoping that PH will help increase my daily caloric intake to 1200-1500.
  • Congrats on the great loss.
  • Just wondering how everyone on Phase 1.5 is going? I have struggled with some cravings mostly during the day and have caved in with chocolate at times. I still dont eat bread or pasta in the evenings. Have brown rice at night around once or twice a week or oatmeal for breakfast. I find that a light dinner and no desert really works for me on the scales! I guess my body really doesnt need a heap of food to try and breakdown whilst sleeping!
  • I'm still hanging in there! I've successfully added apples, ww wraps, and oatmeal. I bought ww pasta, but it's still sitting in the pantry because I'm scared. My weigh-in is tomorrow morning. We'll see.... I've been maintaining 188 for about 10 days now.
  • I find that ww bread causes cravings for me as does fruit- if I do have fruit I have to have it at night before bed. if I have it for breakfast I am done for the day! ravenous all day long! oatmeal has been good for me for breakfast and I do fine with triscuits and crackers too... have done some barley as well but no pastas- they tend to make me gain as well!
  • I'm only in my 2nd day of Phase II but I'm finding that with the addition of one grain and one fruit I'm even less hungry than I was on Phase I. But it's still early in this phase so I'm not going to get too excited.

In fact, today I barely hit 1000 calories which isn't good, although I can easily make up for it tomorrow. Think I'll make guacamole so that will make up for the lack of calories today.
