Hey everyone! I just started WW with my mother last week and we weighed in yesterday and I lost 4.8 pounds and she lost 7 pounds. I was just wondering what the average weight loss per week for everyone is on WW. Thank you!
I easily lose 2 lbs a week. I'd lose more if I was stricter, but I allow myself a little more flexibility than the plan outlines since I have so far to go & I have to be able to live with this long term.
For three years in a row, I lost about 25 lb per year; or about 2 lbs per month. I may have lost more also, if I had been really strict, as I was following a loose caloric plan, with more emphasis on portions than anything. I have yo-yoed a lot in my life, so I decided to lose much slower and hopefully not regain the weight. I'm more interested in good health and a comfortable weight. It is a constant struggle though; my biggest issue is excess munching, which I hope to conquer this year by having healthier snacks ...
Actually the average weight put out by W/W after the first 1-3 weeks is between 1/2 a pound and 2 pounds with the majority of people averaging righ around 1 pound a week. Oh and weight loss experts indicate that the 1/2 - 2 pounds a week is a safe rate.
The first one to three weeks can have larger losses if the person loses water weight but not all people have water weight to lose.
For the first 5 months, I was losing about 10 pounds a month. Since October, I've been averaging about 5-6 pounds a month. The actual amount can fluctuate between .6 - 2 pounds lost now.
