New to site and counting carbs

    Hi everyone.

    I wanted to introduce my self officially. I've been coming to this site for a while but I've never posted anything on here.
    Many of you are very inspiring and I thought you should know that.
    I'm going to need all the help I can get too!

    So anyone willing to help, I'll take it!

    JerseyGyrl,

    I am doing Atkins. I had a rough couple of first days with it though and think I'll start over again. I know I should just eat the meat, cheese, and eggs only but it's awful hard!
    Any pointers?

    Hi Paige,

    Have you read Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution?

    Atkins Induction isn't just meat, eggs & cheese. You should be getting 12-15 of your 20 net carbs per day from salad & veggies on the acceptable foods list.

    If you don't have the book, you may want to check out the information on the following website: http://www.veronicaatkinsfoundation.org/ Stay far away from the Atkins website!

    You CAN do this!!

    Thanks for the encouragement. I have read the book. TWICE! For some reason I think if I eat the 20 carbs, I'm not losing. And reeally don't think I do. It's probably just me thinking that but you never know.
    I gained 2 pounds and I did everything right. It's very discouraging.

    Any suggestions?

    Would you mind giving me an example of what you're eating for breakfast, lunch & dinner...including snacks?
