  • Hello everyone!

    I'm a short Irish chick and here for some guidance and fun. I've never been slim, but I gained a whole lot of weight because of some medication I had to take.

    Over the past year, I've gone from 175lbs to 117-119lbs but I want to get down to 110lbs. My weight loss has completely stalled, which is a bit rubbish. I'm also embarking on an exercise programme but am kind of lost where to begin!

    I'm a writer, I live with two cats in London, I like jumping around like an idiot, drinking tea, listening to music and reading. So that's me, nice to be here!

    Gosh, so many areas you might want to check out. You could visit the UK Chicks forum, for those in the UK. We also have groups by age range or eating plan. And we have a special group for those close to goal or who started out with very little to lose...the Featherweights. It's a great place to discuss the challenges that come with not having much to lose (like the fact that it can be mind-numbingly slow).

  • Hey! Yeah, come join us on our Writers Thread in General Chatter. Congrats on your weight loss so far! The last few pounds can come off.soooo.....sloooowwwllyyyy!!! Have you considered weight lifting? Muscle is more compact than fat and you can look smaller at the same weight. Plus, muscle burns calories 24 hrs a day!
