  • Hi, I new. I want to lose 150 lbs. I do not have a current diet plan but am considering the acia berry and colon cleansing any comments on this I am not very active (yet) I do daycare and am a full wife and mom. I am very tired at the end of the day so hopefully as I lose weight I will have more energy to encourage me to get more active. I am approximately 5"2" and weigh 274 and would like to weigh about 120 by the new year 2010. I have a hard time excerciseing because of my size. Any comments would be appreciated
  • Welcome! I'm a new girl too. Step one was getting hooked up on here! I think that this site will be helpful and a big motivator for me (and you)! Just come in here and get motivated. You can do this!
  • Hi and Welcome!!

  • I don't know much about either of the diets you mentioned.....I have tried ALMOST everything under the sun...LOL!

This year I have committed to doing it myself without any diet aids. Just calorie counting and exersize...and coming here to give and get lots of support.

I took some prescription diet pills once and lost alot of weight....but gained it all back and then some when I stopped taking them....cause I didn't learn any good eating habits......with my calorie counting I have learned to make alot of the dishes that I love in a healthier way so I can eat what I like....without going way over my calorie budget.....

I'm glad your here.....there is a subforum for almost everything...just look around and your sure to find something just for you! Check out the chicks up for a challenge thread too! It is fun...you can participate in lots of motivating challenges!
  • Hi Dardar! Welcome to 3FC!!!

Check out the 100lb Club for one of the best support groups on the planet. Those ladies know what they're talking about!

I don't know a lot about the acai berry stuff/colon cleansing (you could check out our Does it Work forum), but I do know we need to eat to lose weight. A lot of people find success with calorie counting (check out our Calorie Counting forum). I hear that Leslie Sansone's Walking Away the Pounds is a good place to start exercising if you want to. Try small changes, nothing too drastic.....consistency is the most important thing for longterm weight loss.

    I'm glad you're here!
