Happy Anniversary to me

  • Just wanted to announce publicly that today is officially the one year point of my new healthy eating self. I made it through the holidays with a few slippery slopes, but I hung in there knowing I had nothing but time to get it together. Once I released myself from a set "date" it allowed me to relax and keep on keeping on. So there was no weight lost during December, but more importantly there was no weight gained .

Anyways - one year ago today I started this journey and it's been an amazing (and hard) process, but I have made it to this point and I know I can cross that final finish line. Happy New Year to me means a Happy New Year of healthy eating!!
  • Congratulations!!! You lost 75 lbs last year!! That's an awesome achievement!!!

  • Congratulations on a great loss !

  • You go girl
I am excited for you and you make me think I can do this ,
  • This inspires me! Thank you so much!!! Congrats!

Isn't it amazing how letting go of the set "date" is so freeing. It really helped me to be able to just focus on small goals that ultimately are getting me to the big goal. My weight loss has slowed way down now too, but I don't care how long it takes I'm sticking with it. There's no going back anyway, if I don't want the weight to come back.
Happy Anniversary skinny! Congrat's to you for all you've accomplished! This is the year we will reach our goal! How exciting is that?
  • That is very exciting!! Congrats. You should be very proud of yourself!
  • That's really great! One year and 75lbs! Keep up the good work. I want to be still posting at my "ONE YEAR" anniversary and would love to have a "75lb" lost on top.
  • What a fantastic accomplishment! Way to go for sticking with it a whole year. I am inspired!
  • YES YES YES!!!

If I may confess, I always find the month to month & year to year anniversary celebrations even more exciting than the amount lost.

It's so inspiring to see people sticking with healthier habits for such a long period of time, it gives us all faith that we can continue this for the rest of our lives.

    Thanks for posting
  • Congratulations. I'm just starting my journey and this is inspiring.
  • Congratulations! What a great achievement!

I like that you've let go of a set date. I don't like assigning time limits to weight-loss goals because I find it really discouraging if I don't meet expectations. That doesn't prevent me from wondering where I'll be in another 10 months though.

  • this is great! keep it up!
  • Go you! That is awesome, keep up the good work. A 75lb loss is phenomenal.
