FOOD JOURNALING - WEEK OF 5/6 thru 5/12

  • Come on chickies! It doesn't matter what different plans we're following! We're all fighting real life AND that battle of the bulge!

    I know for myself that keeping some form of online journal truly keeps me feeling committed! Also sharing my real life issues to why I caved in to that "oreo"! (hint-hint here Amy! )

    So, here goes ~ Hope ya'll join me in keeping this accoutability and sharing going!

    Monday ~ (very stressful day)

    I hadn't gone to bed til almost 2 a.m. worrying about the audit, so,

    B - 3 cups black decaf - 2 diet pepsi's
    L - stomach acids & 2 waters
    D-(2) patio drinks and one plate of horrible chinese buffet (new restaurant)!

    TUESDAY ~ (not much better)

    I'm emotionally and physically exhausted as I've not slept much lately. Got up with good intentions but haven't done a darn thing today but try to unwind from the past few weeks stress AND post here! Also, had some bowel problems which I'm contributing to the new chinese restaurant!

    B - 3 decaf - small slice of ham - 1 wheat bred

    L - 2 diet pepsi's - 1 tbsp of pb

    D - large chef salad / baked fish / baked potato

    definately need water, water, water tonight!

    Anyone else want to join me?

    3 decafs, 2 diet cokes, antacids, patio drinks and a bad chinese bufet!!!!!!

    see peach packing her bags, measuring cups and gin, putting on her new flashy red sandals (I ain't got no boots!) Pick me up at the airport, Janice!!!!!

    oh, my food thing?

    I am at 22 points with plenty of room to spare. I'll post more menus when I have more time...the big kid is home with his dad from little league!

  • this is soooo important, and i really appreciate it. because i'm failing at water drinking and keeping food down right now.

    today

    16 oz water
    30 gram protein shake

    vit c and calcium

    a deviled egg

    1/4 c cottage cheese

    2 tbs salad with 6 shreds of carrot [they were long ones!!] and 3 chick peas [this came up]

    16 oz water

    20 gram protein shake
    1/4 protein bar

    1/2 c chickarina soup with no broth and 1/2 oz cheddar cheese.

    protein totals: 50 + 12 + 12 +10 + 15 = 99 grams YIPPEE!!!! my goal is 100 grams

    water: oops... only 32 oz, plus 12 oz milk in shakes = 44. oh well

    i flunk water and vegs today

    tomorrow HAS to be better!!!
  • You guys are doing SO GREAT !!! Yes, I know that those diet peps are not helping my stressful stomach! Ugh! It's not been a good past 12 months! I really did eat my salad and fish tonight! Skipped the potatoe since I ate the bread (for my upset tummy) and pb!

    An almost OP day is better than a completely LOST OP day, right?

    Ok, my daily food intake:
    Monday:
    b-inside of leftover quiche, 3 cups coffee w/sweet and low and 1/2 and 1/2
    l-salad w/romaine, turkey, cukes, celery and hb egg
    d-2 slices of roast beef and broccoli

    I drink 7 8fl oz of water a day.

    Tuesday:
    b-2 eggs, 3 strips of bacon-same coffee as monday
    l-salad w/romaine, leftover roast beef, cukes and celery
    2 Oreo cookies
    d-2 pieces roast beef/broccoli
    water
    sugar free popsicle

    today so far:
    b-inside of quiche, 1 cup coffee
    8oz water


    It sounds so blah, but we had a ton of roast left, and I don't mind today I was supposed to have an in office lunch meeting that was cancelled, so....wendys salad for lunch! woo hoo!!!!

    and no....NO OREOS.

    L - Iced Tea and Water
    D - Iced Tea and Water

    Tuesday - Pig out day.......Nah just kidding
    B- Coffee w/Hazlenut Milk 2 Tbls
    2 Sleeves of Gr Crackers & 1 Apple
    L - 1 Grilled Ckn Salad (From Burgerking)
    S - 1 Whips Cherry Yogurt........NUMMY
    D - 1/2 breaded Ckn breast, 1/2 cup Mac Salad and a TON of greenbeans w/garlic and olive oil (just a touch)
    S - 1 Cup Captain Crunch cereal & Iced Tea

    Wednesday (so far)
    B- Coffee (same as above)
    2 slices diet bread w/3 slices turkey breast and 1/2 pickle
    L- Healthy Choice ckn & brocolli noodle thingy
    1 oz baked bbq chips (and still hungry )
    D - ???

  • Happy Humpy Day !!
    Good evening!

    Today went a bit better eating wise. My stomach and "other" areas were still bothering me a bit this morning but all's well now. I did errands for Kayla's (dgd-12) b-day celebration tonight and that kept me from consuming too many diet peps and snacking!

    B-2 black decaf / hb egg / sour tummy required toast

    L-lettuce/tomato - 2 plain hot dogs

    D-a double meat/cheese burger-lettuce/tomato/onion-No bun

    water - not enuff but better - 64 oz....so far!

  • ok... today's accomplishment was that everything stayed down!!!

    here's the list


    30 g protein shake
    16 oz water


    deviled egg

    2 tbs tuna salad, 2 romaine lettuce leaves

    16 oz water

    8 oz tea

    16 oz water

    15-g protein bar


    2 oz chicken
    1/2 tsp bleu cheese
    1 tbs lettuce

    ok. let's add up... 30 + 15 +12 +10 +14 = 81grams protein [plus about 4 in the milk with the shake = 85 grams]

    good.

    now, 54 oz water/tea/milk. not quite done yet, but this isn't what it should be yet....

    Feeling that I am more under control again.

    B-2 black decaf // hb egg / slice of ham
    L-chef salad
    D-grilled chicken / broccolli / ??

    Water so far - six 16 oz glasses
    (1) diet pepsi

    It's so hot that I would be happy eating just salad and baked potato or chicken wings every night. I am giving serious thought to only doing meat/chicken or fish and salads for the next week or two and just eliminating the carb balance at the happy meal.
