  • Ok everyone here is my menu for the day! I am jumping back on the wagon back from maintainance and I am super excited!

    (B) 1/2 c egg beaters (1), 1/2 c mushrooms (0), 1t bacon bits (1), cheese (1), apple (1), 1 c milk (2)
    (S) Fiber One Bar (2)
    (L) Shrimp and Fragrant Broth Soup (7) - I posted this recipe from the WW cookbook awhile back - it's choice ramen noodles, broth, soy sauce, snow peas, carrots, and shrimp - YUM! - small salad - lettuce, cucmber w/oil and vinegar dressing (2)

  • Hi Guys! Happy New Year! Well, I stayed within my points today but I did not get my fruits and veggies in. I also walked for one hour today and did not use any of my activity points! YAY!

    29 points!!! It would have been 30 but I only ate half the bag of popcorn. I think my stomach is realy shrinking.

    I'm excited, I went out this evening planning to force myself to walk for 30 minutes but I did an hour and wasn't even winded.

    S - Air popped Popcorn (1)
    S - 1/2 sandwich - 1 slice bread (1), 2 oz deli meat (2), lettuce (0), tomato (0), mustard (0), and apple (1)
    D - 6 oz beef (6), 6oz Potato with cheese (3), steamed broccoli and carrots (0)
    S - Fiber One bar (2)

    Hi everyone I'm Kathy and I would love to join this thread.

    B= Choc protein shake - 4 pts.
    Toast w/applebutter - 1 pt. (bread is 1 pt per 2 slices)

    S= OOPS

    L= 6 chicken nuggets with sweet/sour sauce - 7 pts.
    Small diet coke

    S= WW brownie - 2pts.
    Slice cheese - 1 pt.

    D= Sausage - 8pts.
    2 slice bread -1 pt.
    salad w/ dressing - 2 pts.

    S= 2 sugar free cappuchinos - 4 pts.

    Total points = 29

    I may use some extra to have a WW chocolate ice cream pop - 2 pts.

    I only ate 3/4 of my sub,all my baked Lays , and a 1 point skinny cow ice cream
    So I finished out the day at 23 points, I know that it's frowned upon to eat less points than goal but if i'm full I shouldn't continue to eat right?
  • Kathy! Glad to see you here!

    Chelley - you shouldn't continue to eat, butyou should try to get the points in. I have lots of points too and once my stomach began shrinking it was hard for me to eat. I know this sounds funny, but you need to make sure you eat some healthy fat. Nuts, olive oil, mayo (full fat), avacoado - are all good examples of healthy fats - they are also "higher" in points than normal food, but will help you meet your point goal. Also, you should be getting 2 dairy serving a day - 1 c of 1% milk is 2 pts - this is easy to get in during breakfast as well. You will find that if you don't eat all of your points, you will come to a point (once you lose water weight) that you will stop losing and possibly gain. I know the first few weeks are tough trying to remember everything - but you can do it!


    Ok after that, here's my menu - ummmm not a great start, so I guess I'm eating veggies the rest of the day

    B - BK croissant and hasbrowns (23)
    L - Broccoli (0), Progresso Soup (0)
    S - Popcorn (1)
    D - 4 oz shrimp (2), tortilla (1) salad (0) - cucumber, lettuce, tomato, mushrooms
    S - strawberries (1), SF Chocolate pudding (1)

    29/29 WOAH - I hope I can pull it off!

  • I've done well staying OP and I'm so proud of myself, because before by the 3rd day I'm ready to pig out. I feel content and trust I stay there.

    1/2cup pistachio pudding (sugar free) 2 pts.
    protein bar = 3 pts.

    S=2 cappuchino - 4pts.

    I still have to decide what I'm going to use my remaining 5 points on, but they will be used!

    I'm sick, so haven't ate much today & not really doing so well nutritionally. I don't feel well enough to cook/prepare foods for myself so I'm relying more on processed/frozen foods. Yuk.

  • Well today was a good day! I think I ate well AND I walked about 5 miles!!!! My legs are sore but it only took about 2 hours total. I broke it up into three pieces. Once 1st thing in the morning, once after lunch, and once before dinner.

    I have 2 points left and I may have some pineapple but right now I am stuffed. I am a little disappointed because I weighed myself tonight and have apparently only lost 1 pound! Especially after all my walking but I will weigh again in the morning. I am keeping my fingers crossed for another pound but my regular weigh day will be Monday.


    Jill-I'm sorry you aren't feeling well, hope tomorrow is better!
    Kathy- I ALWAYS save a couple points for a skinny Cow or WW ice cream. It's my treat for beong so good all day
    Nancy- I hope your meals went well. It's always hard when you are not in control of the menu!
    Tex- Thanks for the info. I will try to eat my points from now on. I will try to fit in some almonds on days when I am low on points. I find that I am scared to use my activity and WA points because it may cause me to not lose. I am working so hard on this. I have always chickened out on diets before but i am going to so it this time!!!

  • I was wondering what is the latest I should have my night snack? Should it be before 8:00 or is 9:00 okay? DH and I usually go to bed by 10:00 because we have to get up early for him to be to work by 7:30.

    Also, do you think you should use the extra 35 points a week or should you just stay in your daily point value? Mine is 29. I'm trying not to use the extra points because I feel like I sabatoage my efforts by relying on them.

    Michelle - Thanks for the idea of rewarding myself for having a good day and keeping within my points by having a treat. I love chocolate and having a WW brownie or ice cream bar satisfies that craving.
