One day at a time (breathe, breathe!)

  • Hey chicks. I think I've posted on 3FC a total of..oh..two times? So I know I'm not a familiar face, but I could use some support & encouragement right now, even if it's just a cyberhug!

    I'm not overweight, but I've been gaining slowly for a while now and I feel very OUT of control with my eating and upset with myself (which is a big problem in itself). I thought making a commitment for just one day at a time might help..please join me if you have daily goals, and we'll cheer each other on.

    My goals for Tuesday:

    1) Replace negative self-talk with positive whenever I notice it.

    2) Eat only at mealtimes; no nibbling at work (I work at a bakery )

    3) No diet beverages..only water, coffee, tea.

    How's it going? Have you been able to do what you set out to do?

    Hope all is well. I cannot imagine working in a bakery - that must be so difficult!
  • I didn't appreciate how much the one day at a time attitude helped, until I came here. It can be great. Also, make sure that what you are eating at your meals is really satisfying and has some staying power, so that you aren't hungry shortly after, and get tempted by treats at work.
