Bored Carbivore

  • I've made it 5 days on SB. This is the longest I've ever managed but I've never been this committed before. I bought the book (which helps!) and I've made smart choices. (Before SB I couldn't remember the last time I ate a vegetable that wasn't on a burger. how sad is that?!)

Anyway, I know Phase I is supposed to curb your cravings... but it has curbed everything for me. I've lost my interest in food! I honestly feel it is a situation of " If those are my options then I'm not really that hungry"

I guess this is a good thing?

I'm also highly anxious about transitioning to Phase II since I am a HUGE Carbivore. It's not even funny how much I can binge eat when it comes to refined sugar. (Drop me by a Krispy Kreme and see what happens.. cuz first of all they are so light and fluffy that you don't even notice you're eating them... anyway I digress. lol)

I've lost weight (I think) already so I want to keep on this "diet" though I think if I want to keep to my skinny jeans and never worry about my double chin again it will definitely have to be a lifestyle.
  • Come and join the Phase I chickies on the Phase I thread.
  • You really need to experiment with the different recipes available on Phase 1, it should help you get through those "if this is my option, I don't want it" times. There are so many recipes that are so unlike any other diet food recipe I've ever seen. They are exciting and very good.

Phase 2 is easy if you're committed and do it right. Transition slowly....very slowly. It should take a month or more to add all the new servings of foods into your lifestyle. It may seem like a long time but the time that you will have to learn what each food does to your body (cravings, etc.) is well worth it.

Good luck and see you in the Phase 1 chick check thread!
