Hi guys

My fiance lost a court case today, and now we have to pay £1500 by January.

Which means we are now looking for a loan, which this close to christmas is not ideal.

I had to be confronted by his ex today, she was all smug and self satisfied afterward and she said a few things that turned my stomach.

Believe me i have no concerns over her being even remotely more attractive than me, she definately is not, but i feel a bit down, and ultimately let down by the UK Judicial system.

That sounds like a bad day indeed! . I hope you'll succeed in getting the loan. And a smug ex is the last thing you can use at a time like that.

i can't really relate personally, but one of my best friends is going through a custody battle over her daughter with her ex-fiance. and he's making her look really bad--saying things like she never bothered to get a job (because she was a stay-at-home-mom) and how lazy she is and everything. he's also withholding a lot of her things (camera, laptop) because she "owes him money." he even went as far as to try to get her to sleep with him because "they were together for long long" that he "has a right to her body," which makes me absolutely furious.

i know these things are pretty much completely unrelated. but regardless, i'm sorry this happened. i know it sucks, another one of my friends lost a court case last year and was stuck paying a lot.

but yeah, stay up. things will get better.

I do believe in Karma though and i dont see her being happy any time soon.

hopefully i will be able to get this loan and then continue on with our lives without the worry of this case hanging over us anymore.

weight loss will continue, nice food shop due tomorrow and some time on my eliptical.

I am sorry your having a bad day? I think it was right before Thanksgiving last year my husband lost his court case. The amount of money was not much, but we had just moved and had no spare money. We had 6 weeks to pay, so we ate tuna and ramon noodles to afford to pay the fee.
I hope everything turns out ok for you.

wow that is horrible, my bf had something brought up from 5 years ago, that happened before i met him, the outcome was we had to pay 700 dollars in one month to keep him from going to jail. He talked to the DA and they decided to let him do a payment plan, and as long as he pays every month like hes suppoed to then everything is fine. Do they have something like that in the UK? would they letu make out a payment plan so u dont have to do a loan? I mean they dont mention it becuase they would rather not, but it might be an option as long as he brings it up.

and about the ex ef her shes just jealous because obviously you better than her hence why shes the ex and your the current

and aml your friend ex thinks hes entilted to her body? PIG id probably beat him, actually i have other words to say that arent appropate and i didnt even know they guy or your friend, i can imagine how u feel

Sorry you're going through this prettypaula. This too shall pass. You will find a way to get the money needed, and at the end of it all, you'll have each other and be happy. The ex will still be miserable! No judge can award her happiness or a nice personality. Hang in there, we're rooting for you.

Hey there sweetheart, I'm so sorry. You are a much stronger person than I am, I most likely would have punched her in the face or said equally rude things. I ran into an ex of my boyfriends' once, and it just was not a good meeting. No punches thrown, but she just went after me with a vengeance.

It can be horribly stressful, and it can wear on your nerves. I'm sorry that had to happen, but you are a much more beautiful person, inside and out, so don't let her get to you. Chin up!! Everything will work out in the end

thankyou all, weve been rooting through our wardrobes and we are gonna put a load of stuff on ebay to get some of the cash together, then its cheaper to make up the difference with a credit card than a loan.

just puts back our plans for weddings etc massively. and we have our holiday to pay for by april.
