I haven't done well the past three months...just going up and down but I know why...it is my inconsistency in diet and exercise. I will not give up! I will keep trying so here's my place.
12/1/08 My weight was at very highest of my usual range..169! Not happy about that number starting this month. My bs was also high, so know I have got to get control. Went to the gym - 30 min stretch, 1/2 mile on the track and 40 min cardio.
Ate lunch at Costco but ate less than 1/2 pizza and 4 samples, so calories are ok and carbs are fair. Will try and eat light tonight. Ended the day with 1404 calories, 14 diabetic carbs.
12/2/08 166 lbs. 30 min yoga stretch, 40 min cardio, 1673 calories, 17 diabetic carbs. Both too high!
12/3/08 166.5 lbs. Was too high on my carbs yesterday, however my bs was better today although still a little high. Hope to do better on both calories and carbs today. Yesterday we ate lunch out again and that made it harder. Also I was alone last night but I need to learn to be responsible when I'm alone. My hip is really bothering and my dh has gout so we didn't go to the gym today.
12/4/08 167.5 lost track of calories yesterday again so not good and lunch out today again! Hip really bothering and we had dental appt so no gym.
12/5/08 168! Eating out too much this week. Even so I watch it pretty carefully but then lose control in the evenings. Not feeling well so not at the gym too.
12/6/08 168 again overate in the evening after doing well all day! My bs was high 2 hrs after breakfast too. Even my dh is telling me I need help. He wants me to talk to our doctor but I don't think he can help me. He will just tell me to stick to my dietician's recommendations. It is up to me. I have to be responsible for how much I eat. My hip is slightly better today and I have been doing some deep cleaning so am getting some exercise. Also went shopping. 1379 calories, 10 diabetic carbs.
12/7/08 166, 1887 calories (H) and 15 diabetic carbs (H), BS before lunch was 165H. No exercise except shopping.
12/8/08 165.5, am BS 144H, 30 min stretch and 40 min cardio.
12/9/08 166.5 overate again last night after doing well all day. Yesterday I also moved furniture and vacuumed thoroughly in prep for carpet cleaners coming today.
12/10/08 168 Got some nuts and candy in the mail and I've been nibbling too much! Finally gave the candy to my dh and told him to either hide them or get rid of them! Have been doing ok with the nuts today and so far on plan. 20 min stretch, 40 min cardio and walked little less than 1/3 mile. 1553 calories, 11 diabetic carbs.
12/11/08 167.5, am bs 161H, 25 min yoga, 40 min cardio.
12/12/08 167 potluck today at our gym! I was pretty careful but I'm still sure I ate too much. At least I stopped as soon as I felt just slightly full. No exercise today.
12/13/08 168.5. Very tired these days. too tired to count calories, almost too tired to eat...that'd be a good thing I guess. :-O no exercise except shopping. Christmas musical tonight at church and all I want to do is stay home and sleep. Went to bed last night at 9:30 and didn't get up til almost 10 am this am but here I am tired again!
12/15/08 168 Forgot to post yesterday. Busy week but I am feeling less tired. Think perhaps it was my bs. It is still high but better. So far I've done well on diet. ETA ended up with 1440 calories, 13 diabetic carbs. BS ok after lunch.
12/16/08 167, AM BS high, 2 hrs after breakfast better but still a little high. doing ok today although I did eat a candy bar for lunch. Got caught out and grabbed it without hardly thinking! Not a healthy lunch, but at least my calories and carbs are still in check today. ETA Ended too high esp on carbs: 1524 calories, 16 diabetic carbs.
12/17/08 165.5 Yea! finally down to last month's weight! I think I have my day eating pretty well controlled and am determined to get my evening eating
under control. Dr appt tomorrow.

BS 147 2 hrs after breakfast. 1590 calories.
12/18/08 165.5 Dr appt today. A1C was 6.5 so just a tiny bit up but really good.
BP was a little higher than he'd like at 138/68 then 138/80 second time. Lab work done and am to also go in for fasting labs too. Lunch out but still ok so far today. Ended day with 1544 calories and 15 diabetic carbs...kinda high. Stopped eating early as have labs tomorrow.
12/19/08 166, fasting lab work this am, then breakfast out, 2 hrs later BS 235H!
12/20/08 169 Today's been another bad eating day! I'll be glad when all the temptations are gone but I am baking every day and it is difficult for me. I have given my self a good talking-to tonight though and hopefully will do better tomorrow. I truly am worried about what I am doing to myself. Sorry my posting here hasn't helped me more, but I will not give up.
Wanted to let you know that I may not be posting much (or not at all) the rest of this month as we have company coming and will be babysitting part of the time and have one out of town trip planned (just a day), several appts and at the same time as all this we will be packing for our winter RV trip! If I don't get back, just know I have not given up on my weight loss plan and hope to make 2009 the year I really do lose this weight! Esp as I am concerned about my health. Take good care of yourselves...I'm always glad to see how well you all are doing and wish I could get myself to be like you. You are an inspiration but I am just in such a rut it seems. But again, I will never give up! I wish you all a very merry Christmas and a great New Year!! Let's all do it in 2009!! :-)
