I just saw an ad for a new show on The Discovery Health channel called "Could You Survive?"

I takes "average" people and puts them in situations of trying to survive a disaster (car accident in a remote area, water accident, wildfire, and earthquake). Looks like it might be pretty interesting.

Interesting. I know this is something that rarely crossed my mind when I was overweight and out of shape. It certainly came very low on any list of reasons that I would want to lose weight ... but it's something to think about. It's pretty pertinent, actually.
