Drinking more water

  • Hi all - I've been reading the posts and using some of the recipies on 3FC since I started WW on November 11th. Today I thought I'd officially join and contribute to the posts!

    I am not a big fan of water - actually that is an understatement! I'm really not sure what it is about water but I've always struggled to build it into my daily routine. Actually, other than my XL cup o'coffee in the morning, I hardly drink any liquids... until recently. Thanks to WW, I've started drinking more water - I've tried keeping bottles of water around and for one reason or another, I'd never drink the whole thing... I thought I would have to always add something into it like the Special K or All-Bran mixes (both I like) to get my full H2O intake, but I've discovered that chugging the water makes it much easier to up my water intake! Not sure if this technique will work for anyone else, but I thought I'd share!
  • Shrinking, I drank ZERO water at my start. When I started drinking the water I added lime and lemon to it--sometimes Splenda. I find I don't need flavors anymore though.
  • I sometimes use those 0 calorie crystal light packets. I put in about half as much as they say cause I find the lemonade a bit to strong for me. Thats how I do.
  • I have this sneaking suspicion that drinking the tons of water they want me to actually makes me hungrier later (so I have to keep drinking a ton of water to keep my stomach full). I don't like the cycle, so I drink when I'm thirsty, and I avoid any drinks with calories in them (except coffee every so often).

    I just think it's silly that the people that are trying to eat less are doing the same thing that the people preparing for hot-dog eating competitions are doing- drinking so much water it makes you full.
