While nutritionist, RDs and USDA recommends 1% or skim for adults whole milk is not unhealthy. Skim and 1% are recommended because most of the adult diets are not low in calories. When we are trying to lose weight and are eating more healthy (especially the filling foods) we have already reduced our intake and the milk is fine.
