Starting Over

  • I had shared last week about how I was really struggling with bingeing (I can only admit it here that I went through about 11 bags of Cheetos in the last two weeks! ) Well, I kept going with my bingeing until tonight. I ate a GIGANTIC meal at Friendly's and I ended up unbelievably sick! As I sat in my car barely able to move I wondered how long I was going to keep doing this to myself. At that moment, I decided not to feel this way again. So I came home and threw out all my bad foods. I read something that said "Every time I give in, it wears down my resistance. But every time I resist, I grow STRONGER!" So my focus is start saying "no" to myself more than I have and gaining control of my eating. I hope you all will be with me for the journey!
  • YAY! Good luck! sometimes it takes something like that in our life to make us realize what we need to do!

  • I also have a binging problem. When I go into the kitchen and grab one bad snack, watch out! That begins a binge marathon! I eat anything I can grab my hands on. Binging is the source of why I yo-yo like crazy. If you need to talk one on one, I am here. I think I have a similar problem as you.
  • Good luck you can do it!
  • I just came back from the supermarket. It felt really good to buy healthier foods and plan my menu for the week. Plus, I know that it will save me a lot of money versus eating out all the time. The journey begins...

Just wanted to voice that I'm the same way. I'm far better if I just can keep out of the kitchen. I start with 'my little snack' which leads to 'oh that too...' and on until I'm all stuffed again even if I just had dinner not too long before.

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one. I've had a lot of trouble getting back OP lately and this site is helping.
