I have just begun the referral process for lapband surgery. I've done a lot of reading, and I've read many people comment on being able to feel the band through the skin, but I haven't seen anything about intercourse. Are certain positions uncomfortable or even painful? Can your partner feel your lapband? Has it weirded anyone's partner out?

The band is located above your stomach and will not interfere with anything except eating food.. don't worry

As far as feeling it... you'll be the only one that can.

Never thought of that! hehe BUT if the surgeon needs to use a scope in some cases just to find the port to do a fill...let alone the band (which one would think was deeper then the port), I seriously doubt that anyone would feel it during even the "wildest of moments!" LOL

It was just a brain fart, that became a concern. I don't carry much weight in my upper abdomen where I assume the port would be...so I was just worried.
