Points for chops

  • I'm back on WW (again!) and need help with points for pork chops. These are boneless, lean chops.
The package is 1.25 lbs for 4 chops.. which is 5 oz/chop
In the book it said 2 oz is 3 points. Is that 3 points for cooked?
I read that you should take away 25% of the precooked weight when cooking meat.
So is 1 chop (5oz) 7.5 points (raw)
    or 6 points?

    Signed,
    Confused
  • It is always after you cook the meat for the points. My best advise for meat is to pick up a fat/calorie/fiber counter (a few bucks in paperback) to help. In general if there isn't alot of visable fat in the meat it is 1 point per cooked ounce and alot of visable fat 2 points per ounce cooked. 4 ounces raw cooks up to roughly 3 ounces.
