Anyone want to give and get daily support?

  • I'm a long time member at 3FC. My weightloss has been slow, but continued until recently. I've gained 5 pounds in the past couple months and really need a partner to chat with to help get back on the wagon.
I'm 44 with 4 children and a good husband. I work part time and volunteer for many different groups. September and October are always challenging, but this has been a big whoops. If you'd like to have someone to check in with, gripe to or hoorah to I'm hoping I'm your girl.
  • You just check back here and you'll get responses. I love a daily check in thread ... so do lots of others. However ......

There's a nice crowd in Featherweights. Want to meet me there?
  • Hey lovnmom..I would love to be your support as I need it too...Your lifestyle is congruent with mine too...good hubby (my ultimate support)...kiddos, volunteer each week, etc..I am not gaining weight but I am having a hard time losing more..it has really slowed compared to where I was.
  • Good morning Susan, Featherweights!?!?! See how this whole weight issue can affect someone. I never would've even thought to look in featherweights, because it's just not how I see myself. I'm glad you responded. Over the years I've read a lot of your posts and am always able to glean something positive out of them.
Thighs Be Gone, I'd love to post daily with you. I'm leaving in a few minutes to do a little shopping and pick my hubs up from work. We had a long weekend away that included far too many "award winning" burgers and such, but I know he will want to have lunch out when I pick him up. Grrrr, challenges first thing today. I'll chat more later about my "program" or lack of one Hope you can get back to me and share some more as well. Wish me luck...I'm off!
  • Hey lovnmom! where are you in wisc?
  • BornToFly, I'm pretty central. About 15 miles off I94 almost the same distance from both LaCrosse and Madison. You could call it the middle of nowhere, but yet not far from anywhere. How about you? Are you a cancer survivor?

I got all my shopping done and woo hoo much of what I bought was fresh, frozen, and canned veggies and also fresh and canned fruits. i'd been starving myself of good nutrition for the past 2 months and it's even showing in my face. I drank 2 qrts of water so far. I'm feeling so much better. Now I need to choose each day to make myself worth it. Thanks for helping me today. Hope to see you all checking in again tomorrow.

Let me know how your days went as well.

I live in Southern Racine Co Wisc. Small town as well. It's cool to see more Wisconsinites and where they are from. I'm not a cancer survivor myself, but both of my grandmothers had breast cancer and both my grandfathers had various types of cancer. One stomach cancer that ended his life in his early 50's.
  • Well, I did no real exercise yesterday, but my food was pretty good. I ate whole all day with the exception of a freebie taste of a chocolate muffin at my local convenience store. It was about 1/6 of a large chocolate chip muffin. Not good, but considering I did drink my 2 qts of water and I did eat two fresh fruit and one canned, 4 servings of fresh veggies, 2 dairy, some lean protein and a couple small carbs I'm good with the day. So much better than I have been.
Today, I've been good too. Lean protein and dairy for brkfst. Two fresh fruits for snacks. For lunch I made a can of healthy request Italian wedding soup, but added more water and a half bag of frozen broccoli to it. A few seasonings too of course and I've eaten about 2/3 of it. I have 1 qt of water drank and am working on my second. Exercise will be good today. I'm meeting a friend at 2 for a 4 mile hike.
Hope everyone else is having a good day too.
