    to the November exercise thread! We're making exercise a habit, giving ourselves some accountability, and getting healthier in the process!

    In this thread, we track the number of MINUTES we exercise for the month -- whether it's walking or swimming or sweaty housework! Most of us set goals for ourselves (I personally will not exercise much without a goal). If you are a goal-setter, early in the month set your own goal! If you're just getting started, feel free to start with a smaller number of minutes (I did!), maybe just a few hundred. It seems easier for many of us to build on the habit rather than meet a very high goal right away. However, you can also just jump right in without a goal, and you can join us anytime in the month!
  • I had a horrible exercise month in oct. and the scales are showing it. I have started the pushup challenge and will do my pushups 3 times a week plus jump on the minitramp 3 days a week and hopefully add in some weight lifting.
    I am shooting for 600 min.
  • My goal for November is 1200 minutes.
  • I need to get back on track and I am going to set an exercise goal this month: 1000 minutes. Setting goals has always been good for me as it seems to MAKE me exercise when I don't want to. So... BACK TO BASICS for me.
  • I am keeping my goal for November at 1500. I made my goal last month.

    I will continue to report each Sunday for the week. So,
    For this past week of November 1st and 2nd, I have 60 minutes to report.

    Group Total so far: 60 minutes.
  • I got some exercise Sat and Sun and have 120 min to add!

    Group total ~ 60 + 120 = 180 min
  • Okay I am new here and you all are doing amazing!! Sad to say, i had to sit and calculate all the minutes to see how much everyone is doing!!!

    I am setting my goal low,,, so that i can reach it...

    So, my november goal will be 800 minutes of some form of physical excercise

    I am a few days late , but so far 25minutes / 800 minutes for the month, so far
  • I took a break from studying at the college yesterday and took a nice quick 30 min walk around. I wasn't going to count it as I usually only count stuff I have my heart rate monitor on for, but it was still exercise. And something I wouldn't have done in the past.

    Oh, and no goal for the month. Depending on my school schedule I'm aiming for 3 days of lifting, 2 days of cardio each week. Test/project schedules may interfere with that.

    Group total: 180 + 30 + 35(Jayme31's) = 245
  • 70 mins strength training today

    Group total: 245 + 70 = 315
  • So far I've done 125 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes strength training for a total of 155 minutes done.


    Group Total 315 + 155 = 470
  • I am logging in with my total for the remainder of the week (minus the 25min i already reported) I did another 90 minutes worth of excercise!!

    GROUP TOTAL=470+90=560
  • Oh my gosh!! You are all incredible. I can't seem to get off the couch. How can I get motivated to take my first step? I'm too tired to move.
  • Since my last post, I've only worked out twice -- 70 min and 30 min.

    Group total ~ 560 + 100 = 660 min
  • Only worked out twice?? 70 mins and 30? That's wonderful!! I would be jealous if it didn't take so much effort to be.. *S*
  • I'm in day 4 of Cookie Diet. Coming here is somehow giving me the strength to keep trying. This morning I was here before tea or cookies. This got me out of bed!
