The New Rules of Lifting for Women?

  • Has anyone tried this program or read the book? It's by Lou Schuler and you can search for it on amazon.com. I'm thinking checking it out of the library.
  • I have the book. I really like it. The exercises are pretty simple / straightforward. Most are doable at home, although once you start getting stronger you need a wider range of weights available. I ended up doing just the first level and stopping because i didn't have heavier weights or the funds to buy more. If you have a gym membership , it would work great.

    Seriously - read the whole book and pay attention to the nutrition info as well as the exercise program. I don't follow it exactly and I haven't gotten all the way through the workouts yet ... but the ones I have done have been great and have really changed the way I think about what I'm doing at the gym now.
