OOPS! My Diaper Came Off!

  • when did that happen? When did my diaper come off? When did I become a biggie boy?

About 6:30 this morning, as I was walking my dogs, in the southern California cold ...it had to be in the high 50's! I had to put on a sweatshirt with my shorts ...anyway... I realized this is my new life! I have been doing this for quite some time now

You see....several years ago, if I would have had some time off work like I do right now, I would be sitting around the T.V. , reading the newspaper and relaxing...after all I deserve it I have just worked 3 months straight with a lot of over-time due me. I would be thinkin' what can I make for breakfast with a lot of cheese on it?

    But today...here I was...at 6:30 am...1 mile into my 3.5 mile walk with
    my mutts....thinkin'...."Gary...you rock!

Yep....the diapers came off...don't remember exactly when...I am sure Angie had something to do with it She would be proud! I even did 2 more miles on the

Enjoying it while I can...after all at age 54....those diapers may be back on sooner than I hope
  • Yup.. Gary, you rock! and Angie too!
  • Thanks DEE...

but it is hero's like your husband and my nephew (Great Lakes Recruit...USS CHICAGO right now) that really ROCK!!!

  • Your post made me smile! You are doing GREAT getting back in the "groove" of being home again. Keep it up - those little walks add up to keeping that new trim self you worked so hard on!

And - the dogs are lovin' the extra walks too
  • Well, Gary, at least you have room in your shorts for that diaper when you need it again!

I've been running my dogs in the mornings with the scooter. They are loving it, and I am looking forward to the colder weather and longer miles (they can run a LOT further in the cold, though we have to build up to it...we're up to 5-6 miles a day now).
  • Gar, you sure do know how to make me smile! Who says middle-aged men don't go through the 'change'?

I have been home so long now...about a week...Angie is trying to find things to do outside the home
